Highland Ridge Campground is a well-maintained and beautiful site, offering clean facilities and friendly, helpful staff. I was VERY disappointed with our 9/24/2020 through 9/27/2020 visit.
1) The women's sinks were very dirty...EVERY single day. Like nobody had even ATTEMPTED to scrub them out.
2) Someone was blowing leaves out of the sites and roads, causing a film of dust and dirt to blow at us while we were trying to enjoy our food and campfire. Every surface and item OUTSIDE AND INSIDE of our camper had to be wiped clean because of the layer of dust and dirt. It would have been helpful to have a heads up before the blowing was going to occur so we could have protected our food and closed the windows on the camper.
3) I can understand the blow dryers being off in the restrooms, but then why are the floor dryers allowed to be used when that blows around a WHOLE lot more air?
This is NOT the Highland Ridge we have known for 30+ years. :-(

The camp host was very helpful and present. He filled us in on local places of interest.
The bathroom was clean.
We stayed in the Equestrian campground which worked out well. We also appreciated being able to see the campsite online and reserve it vs being first come first served. We like knowing it will be there for us.

This campground is beautiful but has few amenities. The bathrooms on the loop we stayed on were pit toilets - the other loop had a conventional bathroom with toilets, sinks, and showers.

Despite the cool weather and rain the night before, our experience was very pleasant. Access to the walk-in tent campsite was quite easy and the restroom facilities were kept clean. Cell service is spotty but we had little trouble finding a signal (T-Mobile). Some of the trails were muddy so keep that in mind if you visit during wet weather. Very quiet and relaxing, I would recommend this campground and plan on coming back!
