What Guests Are Saying
Owen Creek campground offers a peaceful and scenic experience, with fewer ATVs this year and visits from wildlife like moose and bears. The host is praised for maintaining clean facilities, and the campground's small size adds to its charm. Some challenges were noted regarding campsite reservations and nearby dogs, but overall, visitors enjoyed their stay and appreciated the beautiful surroundings.

Loved Owens Creek. Hate Recreation.gov. Very hard to tell for almost any campground, which sites are FF and which are reservable. Some are reservable during the week but not weekends. We reserved one for Thursday night expecting to do FF for the weekend. Arrived at campground to find out there were only 6 sites FF and most were taken up by maintenance people. So frustrating.

This is a small campground but we camped in the far back next to the creek and it was beautiful with deer and wildlife around.

Campsites were clean with nice views. I wish Recreation.gov had given us an indication when we reserved the site that this campground was located in a very popular motorized recreation area. The number of ATVs buzzing down the Owen Creek Road was incredible--lots of noise and dust. I wouldn't recommend this campground if you are looking for a quiet recreation experience.
