We love this area and this campground. The setting is perfect and the camp host was helpful and accommodating. The moose sightings never disappoint.

Our time was spent on edge due to the Camp Host Lady. One from our party came through at a slow speed as he was looking at each site looking for us. He was going around 5-8 mph. The camp host lady came by 5 minutes later and demanded to know who was driving the car to which he politely responded that it was him. She then berated him about speeding through the campsite screaming at the top of her lungs. We did not want to get kicked out so we just accepted it and said we won't speed. She then glared at us in silence. She then frequented the area, as maybe she usually does, but every time we felt uneasy about even talking for fear if being accused of something we didn't do. We never went above the posted 10 mph, which sign I also wonder if she placed herself since the official rules on the main sign state the speed limit to be 15 mph. I don't know if this was a case of mistaken identity or not as there were similar cars to our own there, but her demeanor should not have been that way had she found the perpetrated. A simple reminder of the posted speed would have been a good camphost. She was extremely rude. We did not feel fully relaxed due to the incident.

Hosts gave us info on a bear that had been thru camp, guidelines on keeping a safe camp. The outhouse was spotless. Great hosts!

Tie Flume is a great little campground on the S. Tongue River. Bathrooms were clean. Great hiking and fishing in the area. Lots of ATV’s that ride the roads.

Sites were nice. Only drawback was the amount of ATV / off road vehicle traffic. It was quite noisy at times due to the amount of traffic on the road.
