What Guests Are Saying

Shell Creek Campground offers a beautiful and well-maintained environment, featuring clean restrooms and friendly hosts who go above and beyond to assist campers. The picturesque location, nestled among large pine trees and alongside a charming creek, enhances the overall experience. While there were some minor issues such as generator noise and biting flies, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives, making it a highly recommended spot for campers.

What a fantastic campground! It was clean - the cleanest National Forest bathrooms I've ever seen! The creek was gorgeous nearby. The campsites are close enough to be convenient, but not so close that you feel like you have a neighbor. Whomever the hosts are, they're doing a wonderful job.

This site was incredible! The host was so kind and helpful! He took a lot of pride in his work and it showed. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen a pit bathroom!

We were fortunate to reserve the site we wanted. The camp hosts are great and very helpful. They know the area well and keep you out of trouble in your off road expeditions. The snow was still deep in some areas. FS road 17 was closed at Ranger Creek Recreation Area until the middle of June. We had access to water and the rest rooms were very clean.

The host and hostess of the camp ground are wonderful folks. Very helpful, the grounds and restroom were very clean. Dale helped us move our camper and we were able to borrow their water jugs. Thank you Dale.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Shell Creek Campground. The campground host Dale was so helpful. He was able to switch our campground to a tent only site which was located right along a rushing stream and was just perfect. He also provided firewood and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. He was the friendliest and most helpful campground host we had on our 30 day trip. The campground and bathrooms were well maintained, quiet and scenic.

Really nice campground, not far off the highway. Nicely taken care off, great camp host and having the creek running next to you made for a wonderful experience.
