Good experience again staying at this campground. The weather was good. More insects than normal, but that is camping. Plenty of elk , but few moose this year in campground.

The drive to and from bald mountain was amazing! This campground is great, spots are somewhat private and also have great views of the sky at night!

Each of the campsites has a fire pit and the fire pits were very full of ashes and burnt logs. They need to be cleaned out.

The camp spot was great and had a wonderful time there for 5 days with our friends. The camp host is not located at this campground, so services from him were late or nonexistent. Toilet paper was out in the outhouses a couple of times, campfire rings weren’t cleaned out, and the garbage was full. We all had self contained units, so those things weren’t as annoying to us and those who were camping in tents.

Policies & Rules

General

  • The administering organization reserves the right to substitute sites without prior notice.Groups are advised to call 307-431-7446 for assistance in selecting a group site; sites 11 & 12 share a spur as do sites 14 & 15.Space is limited; no more than one 8x10' tent per site.
  • Two non-towed vehicles allowed per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle will be charged an extra $10.00 fee (includes tax) at the campground.
  • Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org. Firewood bundles may be purchased from the campground host.
  • Refunds: Refund requests made through www.recreation.gov will be charged a $10 processing fee. This fee is retained by the reservation service contractor along with the non-refundable reservation fee. All requests for the return of the non-refundable reservation fee and the cancellation fee will be declined by the campground concessionaire as they did not receive these fees (these are the fees retained by the reservation contractor, a different entity).
