What Guests Are Saying
Lizard Creek Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful setting on the shores of Jackson Lake, with spacious and well-maintained sites that provide a sense of privacy. Camp hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience with helpful tips and support. While the restrooms could use improvement, the campground is a great base for exploring both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks, making it a favored destination for many campers.

WE had been camping at a lot of different places for the whole month of July. Lizard Creek had the weakest campground hosts of any place we have ever been. They were hardly ever visible. The beach had very dangerous access (for seniors). They seemed to put placards out and that's it.

What a great spot. There is a trail that takes you to the lake and provides you your own personal spot away from the other campers.

Nice short walk to campsite, quiet and spaced out pretty good. Flush toilets clean. This is a bit of a drive from the meat and potatoes of the park. Bugs weren’t bad, an occasional mosquito. Nice, clean campground. My only issue is that it’s over $60/ night, not sure why just to camp. I’d recommend camping in Bridget-Teton national forest instead. There are 3 access points to the Tetons and less traffic, or Lewis Lake 30 minutes north in Yellowstone.

Great tent campsite - isolated , near the lake, plenty of space. Bathroom is infested with spiders, but that's nature I suppose.

Nice camp site, portable water and bathrooms close by, friendly staff. Small size = not too many neighbours. Lots of trees. Nice swimming water (refreshing cold).

Over all this was a great campground. Sites were a nice distance apart, camp host were very friendly and helpful, and having ice and fire wood on site was amazing. We even had 3 deer and a fox visit our site during our stay!
The only down side was the restrooms. They were flush toilets, but only 1 stall, the doors would stick to the point you had to kick them open, and even though they get cleaned 3 times a day they always stunk.
Overall it was great but the restrooms need work. We will be back again!

The campsite was very nice and the people were friendly and helpful. I would have preferred a different site that had more amenities such as a laundry, store, possibly showers and/or ranger hikes or programs which were all lacking at Lizard Creek.

Very spacious campsites. Perfect for tent campers because generators are not allowed.

I loved how secluded the campground was from the rest of the park. You really are in your own little corner up there. We also loved being able to walk along the lake at sunset. It’s a beautiful place to camp.

Quite possibly the best campsite I've had in my experience. Incredible views, quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's location lent itself to easy access for both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.
Keep in mind, this is the great outdoors. There are bugs. And being next to a lake, there are more than you are probably used to. Plan ahead, get some bug repellent or a nice bug screen and you'll be just fine.
