This was a lovely campground. My spot was tricky to back into, but once I finally managed, it was perfect. I can vouch for the guy talking about the fresh water spigot. I was also surprised I could not use my filter, but we didn't have any problems with the water, and I saw people filling their individual drinking bottles with it. Our spot was close to the neighbor (as it said it would be), but being this time of year, we didn't spend time outside anyway. We really weren't there most of the time anyway. Always out seeing things. I would stay again.

We didn't spend much time at our site, but we were pleased with everything and will book more time there in the future.

Unhygienic, disgusting fresh water fill station.
Signal Mountain CG has only one fresh water fill station near the dump station. The normal faucet attachment has been replaced by a single jet nozzle. Hopefully, I can attach a photo next. There is no way to connect our filter and hose. You must simply insert the end of this jet nozzle into your fresh fill. So, first of all, there is no way to filter the water, which we always do. But it gets worse: my wife and I were waiting behind another camper who first took out the dirtiest sewer hose with his bare hands (no gloves) and proceeded to empty his black tank. He then took the non-potable jet hose and soaked everything - sewer hose and all. He was covered in it - literally. He then proceeded to the fresh fill and grabbed the jet nozzle and filled his tank, while trying to clean everything. When it was our turn, I had to try my best to sanitize the fresh water jet nozzle before I could use it. I later asked an employee if there was any clean fresh water fill. He said “I don’t understand.” The kid was clearly not a camper.
From Signal Mountain, we moved to YNP’s Fishing Bridge. They too use the jet hose, but only for the non-potable water. When you move to the fresh station, you can connect a filter and fill with clean fresh water.
For this reason, I do not recommend Signal Mountain CG.

Beautiful campsites with lots of trees. Bathrooms were clean and nearby. Convenient place to dump black water tank. And water was close by to fill up too. We had a great time; although, quite chilly with rain and snow.

We loved Signal Mountain Campground—especially the guy who checked us in and was helpful throughout our stay. The showers, laundry, and restaurant were all nice. It was a great basecamp for exploring GTNP and YNP.
