We loved the tent-only loop and the pad for our tent when it rained. It was beautiful and well maintained.

Beautiful campground, quiet, a perfect spot. I'll return next year. My only concern is the road and difficulty backing a trailer into my campsite. Maybe a small semi circle cleared spot on the road to make the back up safer. We have a small trailer and a regular sized truck and even though I am very experienced in backing up, I had to touch the foliage to make my turn into the site. Just trying to be safe and not damage the natural beauty.

This was a fairly typical, beautiful national park campground. It had clean bathrooms with flushing toilets. A water spigot was available near the bathrooms. At the time of writing this (Summer 2022) generators are not allowed in Loop 3 of the Signal Mountain Campground. We booked a site in loop 3 specifically for this reason. There were multiple sites around us in loop 3 that were running a generator all day long. The generator rule doesn't seem to be enforced in this campground whatsoever.
Site 81 didn't have a single level surface outside of tent pad. Even the picnic table was sitting at an angle. Even the parking area is slanted. This wasn't an issue for us, but it would make things challenging if you wanted to setup camp chairs or anything.

Really nice and quiet CG directly at the lake with possibility to go swimming. Showers are standard. We enjoyed our time there very much!
