The Signal Mountain campground is really beautiful, Shady and cool, tons of hammock trees, lots of foliage. Just beautiful. It was a special treat to see the resident elk wondering about the campsites as if he owned the place. The staff is friendly (unless you leave food out), the restrooms are clean enough for campground restrooms. The general store, showers, lounge, boat rentals, and other amenities are close and convenient. The lake was pretty, the water was cold but it didn't seem to stop anyone from playing in it. We took the 6:00pm boat float down the snake river. Our guide, Mark, was friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the ride and would do it again. The worst thing about the trip was actually backing our 28" trailer into our camping spot. The roads are very narrow and lined with posts and boulders to keep you on the road. You really do need expert backing skills for some of the spots.

Amazing scenery. Clean bathrooms with hot and cold running water. Easy to get in and out of the dump station and water filling area. We all had a great time!
