The campground is lovely. The campsite is a downslope to the lake. Which is nice e for lake access. Our tent flooded from a 15 minute rainstorm due to poor drainage paths. Small camper would have been great, but not the best site for a tent. Also there is heavy traffic with folks putting into the water close to the site. The host was great and kept the bathrooms so clean!!

The campsite was wonderfully maintained. The bathroom was clean. Many of the campsites have access to the lake which was amazing for a swim. It is very close to a trailhead for hiking as well. Make sure you check where the camp host is staying so you can get firewood right away. This can camp ground is ready for your next adventure.

This campground is so close to so many different outdoor opportunities. Hiking up into the Bighorns via several different routes, kayaking and fishing on West Tensleep Lake. First time here-had a great time (5-day stay). It does seem that people not camping on site were passing through the campground quite a bit both on foot and vehicles-more so on the weekend.

The hikes from West Ten Sleep Campground are very popular and for good reason. Site #6 is wooded with space for several tents but the parking is limited. Site #2 is nicely situated next to the lake but all of the sites are OK.

Beautiful area, love the Cloud Peak Wilderness! The downside of actual campground, mosquitoes were horrible in July, but worst thing was how loud things were. ATVs and motorcycles drive through the campground constantly because this area does not have much for 2 track trails and this campground is their turnaround point. Host was nice but has to watch 4 campgrounds so very little oversight. Many campers were loud along with dogs that wondered from campsite to campsite. Awesome area, but this campground needs to re-evaluate how to operate. Was very disappointed how much noise there was, expected it to be peaceful as this is the wilderness area.

It’s a quaint, quiet campground and the host was very friendly. However, the site we had didn’t have a tent pad. We ended up pitching our tent in the wooded area near the lake. This campground seems better suited for those with a small camper.
