This was a perfect camping experience. Thanks to Les, the campground host, who turned an awkward situation into a perfect vacation. His thoughtfulness and sincere concern that campers have happy times was outstanding. I know I am not alone in saying that he is a gracious and attentive host. I hope to return to the Ten Sleep area to camp again and again. My site was clean and spaced nicely from other sites at Island Park campground. The water was not on yet, and that was the only issue that I had. Not a deal-breaker.

We had a wonderful two nights at West Tensleep Lake! Our reserved campsite was just as we expected and we will be returning another year. The campground host was very attentive and kept the bathrooms clean for all the campers. We will return!

Great campground, tucked right up to the lake. Cleanest vault toilet I've seen.

Small campground with easy access to the lake and hiking trails. Even though the host stays at a
different campground we saw him a couple times of day making sure everything was maintained including
a clean bathroom.

Very nice campground in a beautiful setting near the end of FS 27, which we suspect accounted for how little traffic we heard on the gravel road. In fact, we had a cow elk wander down from the road and through the site.

Beautiful campsite within 15 feet of the lake, also near the water pump & not far from outhouse. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommend!

The campground is beautiful! The campground host was unreasonable and rude. He allowed his dog to run free through all the sites and had yelled at my dog that was on a leash. If he is back next year we will not be.

Even with the limited amount of campers at this campground, I saw someone clean the bathroom (just toilets, not water) at night and in the morning...very clean. Being that this campsite was near my trailhead, I stopped at this bathroom after I hiked out to change clothes in lieu of using the bathrooms at the trailhead because of its cleanliness (shhh, don't tell anyone).

Wonderful campground with excellent non-motorized boating, fishing, and hiking. High altitude makes for cool summer weather and great scenery. It does get some traffic and the roads are dirt which leads to dust. Paving the roads would be wonderful.
