What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

The site was uneven but we managed to get our motorhome level. Maybe the description could make it known better. It was site 66 but over all the people and place was awesome. Had a very nice
Staff member stop and help us at the site. Great experience.

We loved the mammoth campsite. Beautiful location with easy access to water and restrooms; it has a nice place for young children to walk around. There’s a nice fireplace for cooking as well so that was bonus. We had elk coming to our tent at night and during the day so that was fun too.

A beautiful setting with very few mosquitoes. Staff were helpful. Toilets were clean (and they flush). Camp sites are a nice size. While the town is very close, the campground feels as though it’s in the wilderness.

Beautiful view and clean facility. we arrived late and could not find water faucet. As it dark. Wish it was on the map on reservation. gov. Woke up in the morning and it was very close to our campsite.

Great site near clean bathrooms with flush toilets! The tent pad was too small for our family tent, but the parking area was perfect and had more shade! The bear boxes were helpful as was the potable water. Elk bugling woke us up around 4 am and was fun to listen to. Cell service for T-Mobile was available with a bar or two in a couple of spots.

It’s a nice campground with plenty of restrooms. Has some recycling near the office. Rangers rove each night. We were at site 67 for 3 nights in a small camper and tent. If you have a camper I would avoid this site as it is very uneven and difficult to level your camper when you pull in as you are facing downhill. This site is also next to the road, so if you’re in a tent like I was you will hear traffic not only from other campers coming to the campground, but also employees going to housing and work.

Nice campground just inside the north entrance. I had a nice campsite near a very clean bathroom and potable water source. I would stay again.
