What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

We spend our first night on 67 which was noisy and uneven. This site is even.
It is almost just as noisy though. Trucks thundering up and down the road all night.
As the campsite is situated right within the curve you can hear them all the way.
Staff was very nice.

Horrible experience! Trucks thundering up and down the road late at night and in the early morning hours. We couldn‘t sleep at all.
Site was very uneven and we couldn‘t level our Rv (25 ft).
Staff was very nice!

Nice campground with sites large enough for bigger rigs. The bathrooms were clean and it was fairly quiet. The location is wonderful and it’s an easy drive to Tower Falls. We easily drove the top half of the Yellowstone loop to the Grand Canyon and Norris Geyser Basin.

Well maintained, clean bathrooms, friendly hosts
We utilized the walking trail up to Mammoth Springs to walk the boardwalks, go to the visitors center, the grill, and the general store for ice cream!

We stayed two nights at Mammoth campground and loved it. We backed up to the road and the scenery was fantastic. Although there werent showers, they were available at the Mammoth Hotel for $7. We walked across the street to the hills and hiking trails along the river and saw elk and even a wolf. It was wonderful and who could beat the price!
