Gorgeous area. Well stocked with cooking needs. Our first excursion to one of the cabins. Can’t wait to go again and try a different one!

We were hoping to do the whole loop with a night at Caribou Bluff and a night at Cache Mountain Cabins. We had a very nice trip into Caribou Bluff Cabin from the Wickersham Trail Head. The cabin was very well supplied with pans and a cook stove and a very nice lantern. The stove really puts off the heat! There was plenty of firewood there to get the stove up and running. We stocked back up the wood supply even more for the next people. In the morning we left for Cache Mountain Cabin. We stopped and looked at the Windy Gap Cabin which is very nice too. We weren’t able to finish our trip around the loop because of all the new snow and the trail not being adequately marked for knowing where to go. We turned around and went back to Wickersham, getting there as it got dark.

It would be very helpful to replenish the woodpile before leaving.

These cabins are like tents that you don't have to carry with you on this fantastic winter trail system.

Spent a completely restorative 3 days in the mountains. Physical work, natural beauty, good food, good sleep, and good company.

Another great spring trip at the White Mountains. It wa sunny, and there were beautiful northern lights.
It was -41° (below zero) at night though, so we were glad we were prepared!

This cabin is at times slightly harder to get into due to snow drifts. Come prepared. This cabin has good large pans for cooking. The lower double bunk is narrower than other at all the other cabins, so you want to like each other when you share the bunk. The saw is getting dull, so make sure you have your own.

We love this cabin on the bluff with its vast view. If you’re biking or skiing ... your last mile will be uphill.
