Stunningly beautiful, close to excellent fly fishing opportunities, and a quintessential Alaska NFS campground. The roads are asphalt, as are most, if not all, site pads. The spaces are generously spaced away from one another and long enough for our 38’ DP and our Jeep. No hook-ups, but we find that weeds out many and leaves the rest of us to have a much better (remote) experience. There is no dump station, so please empty your tanks before arriving and fill up with water.

This is an annual favorite for our family. Such a large and beautiful campground. Fun to bike around and water fun. We did a nice nearby hike this trip, wich was a bonus.

Great campground. However more speed bumps are needed. Vehicles speed in small roads coming into the campsites area and there were a lot of small children on bikes. It was not safe at all. There are speed limit signs but not being obeyed.

Sites 64 and 65 share a short walking path to the main road. It was nice having more privacy and having more distance to the main road to keep our toddler away from traffic. The bear box holds a lot, and it was conveniently located. I like that this spot was a short walk to the lake and outhouse.

This is definitely a campground that you should bring your kids, dogs, and bicycles to! Lots of laughter, fun, and friendship.

Only complaint is that the campground should have opened on the Friday before. Since it wasn't we came down that Saturday, and stayed until Monday. Very few spots were taken. Possibly because the campground was not opened on the Friday before.

We were there in early September. There were lots of empty sites and it was pretty quiet. We went hiking at nearby ptarmigan creek and that was really a great day.
