This is an exceptional campground with sites that feel private and user-friendly. Our nearest bathroom had one side "out of order" but it was relatively easy to find another one. The shore on Kenai Lake is exquisite - quiet, serene, beautiful. The overall area is clean and well maintained and it is easy to book online which we loved.

Great access to Lost Lake trail, Harding Icefield trail, and not far from Seward. Beautiful big campground with clean outhouses.

The Kenai Lake that the campground is next to is beautiful. There are several nice hike in the area but I highly recommend the Lost Lake trail that starts at mile 5 from Seward. It is a moderate hike but also a favorite of mountain bike riders.

We had 8 adults and 18 kids. We did a side trip to Exit Glacier. It was down pouring rain. You can only take a wagon or stroller up so far before you just start hiking up. Walking the lake on a nice sunny day doesn’t get any better

Trail River is a nice campground, and fairly quiet even when a lot of other campers are present. Campground hosts are always very helpful and do a great job in keeping everything clean.

Sites 78 and 80 were nice pull through sites that were a short walk from the lake. There was enough room for a trailer and large tent. The campground was very well kept. The majority of the spots on the lake are day use only.

This spot is the 2nd best spot in the campground. It has a view of the lake but the day use area is below this camp site so lots of people walking back and forth

Really pretty and clean campground with access to the lake beach which is awesome. The only little thing we didn't like that much is that there's just few bathrooms for many people and the drinkable water was really yellow, apart from that awesome place to stay.

The bridge going over Trail River is in horrible condition. Chugach NFS needs to address the replacement sooner than later before there’s a failure. Talking with the host the plan is for 2025. Not worth the risk to return until the project is completed.
