This campground is beautiful and very clean.
The bathrooms did not smell at all considering the campground was full to capacity.
The hosts at this campground are two of the nicest hosts we have encountered, and we camp at least once a month so we meet a lot of hosts.
They are friendly, informative and were always sanitizing everything.
We will be back!!

My wife and I have been to Potato Patch C.G. several times over the years and we enjoy it very much. The C.G. hosts Ken and Dodie (sp.?) keep the sites and bathrooms exceptionally clean. Also the Forrest Service maintains the Wood Chute and Trail #531 in very good condition and we enjoy hiking on them. We are always looking forward to camping there and wish that we could spend more than 14 days at one time there. Keep up the good work.
Thank you,
Fred and Emelia W.

The Woodchute trail is very poorly marked. We walked for 6 hrs and were lost and out of water. We finally got a cell signal around 4pm and called 911. We were rescued by a Search and Rescue officer. It was sundown as he was driving us home and 8pm when we got back to the campground. If we hadn’t gotten a cell signal, we were very fearful of what would have happened.

We’ve been returning to Potato Patch for over 30 years and have enjoyed all the improvements. It’s always clean, well managed, reasonable rules. Spaces are a little closer than they were 30 years ago but still acceptable. Sites are level, tent areas are level and smooth. We have started at both the upper level that has electrical hookups as well as down below without services. The folks who host are AMAZING and we thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. The Woodchute Trail is a great hike that ends overlooking the Verde Valley and kids can ride their bicycles safely within the campground.

Beautiful campground, not far from Jerome, Az. At approximately 7,000 feet elevation, it was not too hot. Hosts were great, composting toilets were clear and odor free and the fellow campers were all friendly. Hiking was also very nice. There is a trail head in the campground that takes you to an overlook of the valley below with vistas toward Sedona. Definitely would recommend staying here.
