No water for RV tanks. No internet service. Area had great views and hiking. Camp host was very kind and friendly. Clean restrooms.

Had reserved a spot, so it was easy to just drive in and set up. Quiet and calm in the evening, with good space between sites. Right at the entrance to Sunset Crater, which is fabulous even with the burn remnants from a couple years ago.

Bonito Campground is a hidden gem! Nestled among tall pines with beautiful views of the nearby lava fields, it offers a peaceful and scenic setting just minutes from Flagstaff and Sunset Crater. The sites are well spaced, clean, and thoughtfully laid out with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets were very clean and well-stocked, and the camp hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive.
There was plenty of wood on the ground for campfires, which was great, but be aware that even dry branches still attached to trees aren’t allowed to be cut. We loved how quiet it was at night. It's a great place to unplug, relax, and enjoy nature.

When we arrived the first thing the campground host said to us was that we owed $40 more for two nights, which was almost as much as the campground fee. We had towed a car behind our Class B motor home and our daughter and son-in-law were visiting us. Most campgrounds allow visitors to park for free. In addition, the place where he suggested we park our vehicles was about 400 yards across a ravine through the woods in the adjacent campground. He finally decided we could park at the amphitheater, but he mentioned again the across-the-woods option when he drove by later. The positive about our stay was that the campground is near Sunset Crater which was a nice addition.

Stayed on site 25 and really enjoyed our time there. The bathrooms were easily accessible and really enjoyed how spacious the campground was. It was nice to not feel like you were on top of your neighbor. Also really enjoyed the beautiful open space behind us. Only thing to keep in mind is that the pavement for your vehicle is not level to the campsite. There's a gradual hill down to the site, of which our son enjoyed rolling his monster truck down it. :)
