What Guests Are Saying
Black Canyon Rim Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting that creates a dispersed camping feel, with well-maintained sites, clean bathrooms, and friendly hosts. Many campers praised the ample tree cover, potable water access, and the overall cleanliness of the campground. While the road to the site could use improvement and some noise from nearby off-road vehicles was noted, the positive atmosphere and helpful camp hosts make it a highly recommended destination for future visits.

Very relaxing, camp host Pat kept toilets nice and clean and was very available for any issues. Close to lake, trails and edge of the Rim.

We had a great time. Pat was so welcoming and kind. We had to leave early due to trailer problems but she did all she could to make the 2 days special for our family.

The campsites 3 & 4 get extremely dusty due to it being next to the road and all the ATVs going by. We needed up having to leave a day early because it was too much for the kids. We were also in an RV- so in a tent it would have been even more difficult.
The interior sites appeared much better. The lake was close and a quick drive away.
We did wake up to wild horses being in our campsite, so that was awesome.
Camp host was GREAT!

We had a fantastic stay! We visited from Sunday - Thursday so the campground was quite and relaxing. We did notice the camp was nearly booked for the long weekend. The wild horses strolled through our site on the first day. Then we saw them at the lake and along the road side to the campground. Site 9 was excellent for our 17 ft RPod, backed to the forest, and had plenty of shade trees (we found many of the sites to be more exposed). We had one neighbor for a few days in the site next to us which made us feel a little over looked but overall not a bother (just our personal preference to not hear or see others). The hiking trail is nearby, lake is only 3 miles - the road is a bit bouncy - wish we would have brought the kayak. Pat was great, super friendly and was avaiable if we needed. The site was well maintained. Fire pit and table were convenient. We could hear the ATVs but were not overally bothered by them. The road that runs along the campground is frequented and some dust kicks up along those sites but again it was no bother to us in site 09. We look forward to returning with family and friends as many of the sites would be great for groups. Tons of dispersed camping outside the campground - it was very crowded. We were glad we booked at the campground. Happy camping!
