It was our first time visiting. The site was clean with lots of direct sunlight. The host was friendly. We were able to easily hike down to the lake and also park for free by the lake to go kayaking. We enjoyed it and would recommend.

Site 34 close to drinking water and vault toilet. Good size pad for my 20ft rv. Tent pad and picnic table and fire ring well laid out.
34 and the Neighboring sites are spaced well apart
. Andrew the CG host was nice. He checked the sites at least 2 times a day

We have camped at Hilltop Campground for many years and really enjoy our 2 week stay every time. This trip I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the pit toilets. I don't believe they were cleaned even once. I realize that they aren't going to be great but it would be nice if the seats, lid and outside of the toilet were washed off in a timely manner. There is a new host there this year and maybe we've been spoiled but I don't think that keeping them cleaned 3 times a week is to much to ask.

Although we were near the restrooms, this campsite was quiet and clean. The other campers were mainly in large RV. We kept it simple with tents and camping stoves. We stayed two nights. The first night we heard trucks driving fast around the campsite but the remaining of the night was peaceful. The morning sunrise and sunsets were amazing. We drove down to the lake and canoed our first day and saw an eagle near the parking lot of the lake. The hike around the lake took us 45 min - 1 hr. Everyone was friendly and kind. Highly recommend this campsite. Keep your food in the cooler, we did encounter skunks.

The site is perfect, arguably the best in the campground. It's close to facilities and part of a line of campsites (none behind) that aren't too close. The tent pad was well separated from the table/firepit and well maintained. Good location!

Campground is need of a camp host that cares. Our campsite welcomed us with trash on the ground, rainbow painted picnic table, personal items hanging from trees, fire pit full of trash. Our neighbor was loud after hours, daily walks with his dogs off leash, constant barking, and his campsite looked like a garage sale. So much potential for Hilltop Campground, but the park needs supervision to ensure all campers have a positive experience. Our campsite, #28, states tandem site…NOT! Only for tents. This site should be a single site charge when booking an RV. We hope to return and have a better experience in the future.

Great quiet campground. Loved the trail system that goes through the loops. Close to town if you need anything.

Camped for three nights at Hilltop and enjoyed the stay. We were in Loop C, which was very wooded and quiet. Loop A is a “first come first served” and Loop B and C are reservation only, but the entire campground is pine trees, and the sites have picnic tables and fire rings. There were several hiking trails within two miles of the campground, and Lynx Lake a mile away. The bathrooms were clean and there was water available throughout the campground. Town is only about 4 miles away so if you forget something you can easily find it!
