Hands down my favorite place to go camping. The site was clean. The weather was perfect. I was able to take my kayaks on the water. The brick and mortar restrooms were down but porta John's were available and cleaned regularly. Can't rave enough about this place.

Love the volunteer Park worker she’s amazing so full of knowledge the place was beautiful. Well kept the restaurant although we loved it. We’re a little upset about the split fate plate fees even if I’m ordering an appetizer and my husband‘s ordering a meal that’s considered a split plate even though we don’t ask to split it outside of that for for crabcakes great place wonderful lake everything was terrific

Firstly, the camp host was friendly and attentive.
But the particular spot I booked was not so hot. It was close to the toilet, which up there are pit toilets, not flush toilets. I prefer them, especially as the water to the campground is still off. Been off all summer.
This spot was pretty much parking on the road and walking down stairs to the lower level to do anything. There's not a stitch of privacy for this spot. And pretty much the same for shade unless you walk into the woods.
Cell service was a joke!
I wish spots like this didn't exist! The only good thing was solar.

The lake is pristine. The trail around the lake is easy and many locals walk it in the morning. The lake was nice for paddle oarding

Very well groomed site, walking distance to the lake. The bathrooms were super clean. I appreciated the check in by our host, Rich!

The facilities and scenery at Lynx Campground have been great the two times we have camped there. The lake is perfect for kayaking, and the trails around the lake are great for walking. However, there is very little parking at the south side of the lake if you want to do any boating. We had to pack in our own water because the campground has been without running water for months. This was inconvenient, but not a huge deal. None of our group members' sites had their plaques updated with our reservation dates. We had heard that they were short-staffed that weekend because someone who usually took care of our campground loop was out sick. It made me wonder if our loop had even been cleaned before we arrived. After having a nice weekend with our friends at Lynx Lake, we were shocked to have a couple of pretty negative interactions with the camp hosts (Rich and his wife). We had already cleared everything completely from our C-10 campsite, so our presence was in no way inhibiting the hosts' ability to clean up the sites. We just had a few things left to load into our vehicle before exiting the area, and we were using the bathrooms and saying good-bye to our friends before hitting the road. The camp hosts were bizarrely and unnecessarily impatient (kinda rude to our 6-year-old and VERY rude to our friends around the corner) as we got the last few things loaded into our car for a little while after the 12:00 check-out. As I mentioned before, all of our stuff was completely out of the campsites. We have camped at Lynx Lake in the past (and many times in Oak Creek canyon and elsewhere over the years). We have NEVER had a negative exchange like this with a camp host. We were pretty disappointed that this experience left such a sour taste in our mouths after having a lovely weekend with our friends. Just be aware that you might get harassed if you aren't completely removed from the vicinity by the 12:00 checkout time. Yikes.

Our site was clean and conveniently located next to a walking trail less than 10 min from the lake. The bathrooms were very clean also. We will definitely be back

We made reservations after calling to find available sites, driving to find a suitable one, then calling again to reserve. We had just set up camp when the host arrived and told us we had to leave because it was not yet check-in time. (It was after 12, check-in was at 2.) If we had to leave, we were going somewhere else, not coming back there, so we asked if we could cancel. She said sure, just call the call center again. She did NOT tell us that we may not get a refund because we cancelled the day of. All in all, a lack of understanding and human interpretation of "rules." We reserved, set up, and left, within an hour. I see no reason we should be denied a refund.

Overall was another great escape. Probable the 10th or so time there. Water thing to us wasn`t a big deal live in Prescott easy to fill jugs up at home had to get ice in town. Only thing that caught us off-guard was the Host. We have rented a golf cart last 7 or 8 years never had a issue but host was asking is it insured and licensed, how did we get it here and is it ours. told him we rent from same place there carts come from. Just kind of gave us a attitude that spoiled our stay almost every time we ran across him. We have never had a problem with any host or other campers on any occasion we`ve stayed. Thanks for letting us address our experience
