We had so much fun taking our toddler out camping for the first time! And going on “bear” hunts lol kept him entertained for hours.

The camp hosts are wonderful. Restrooms very clean. Sites impeccable. Enjoy having morning coffee at the benches at the lake.

We had a great stay at this campground. The campsite and grounds were very clean and well maintained throughout our visit. Our site was conveniently located close to the restrooms, which were generally very clean and in excellent condition. There was one day where they became a bit smelly, but otherwise they were some of the better campground facilities we've used.
The location is fantastic, close enough to the city to easily access restaurants, stores, and attractions, while still feeling like a camping getaway. We also really enjoyed the walking trails nearby, which were well-kept and perfect for morning and evening walks.
Overall, this is a clean, convenient campground with great amenities and an excellent location. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had such a nice time. Upon arrival our site had been racked and the fire pit was cleared, we enjoyed privacy at the site — taking steps to lower ground.
The water pump and bathroom facilities were both functional, nearby and sanitary.
All in all, we had a great time.

I liked that it was only a few minutes drive to urban amenities. The campground was clean, nice spacing between sites with good tree coverage.

Always an outstanding adventure.
The park is always clean and the sites well maintained.
It is a public campground so it’s hit or miss on noisy neighbors but for the most part everyone is respectful and enjoying themselves.

For whoever is in charge of this, thank you for bringing the water levels back up somewhat. We are so glad that someone cares about the future of Lynx Lake. Great campground, friendly hosts, beautiful place.

From Phoenix, Arizona: Traveling Northbound on I-17 take Exit 262 onto Hwy 69 North to Prescott and cointnue on Hwy 69 for 30 mi to S Walker Rd. Turn left and proceed South on S. Walker Rd. (by Costco, Petsmart, and AM/PM gas station). Drive about 3 mi and then turn East (left) into Lynx Campground.
Alternate route from Flagstaff, Arizona: Traveling Southbound on I-17 take Exit 278 onto Westbound Highway 169 and continue for 15 mi until reaching the junction of Hwy 69, turn right onto Northbound Hwy 69 and continue for 12 mi to S. Walker Rd. Turn left and proceed South on S. Walker Road (by Costco, Petsmart, and AM/PM gas station). Drive about 3 mi and then turn East (left) into Lynx Campground.
Policies & Rules
General
- Maximum stay limit is 14 days within 30 consecutive days in Prescott National Forest including stays at dispersed sites.
- No RV hook-ups or dump stations are available.
- Quiet hours between and a.m
- Pets are welcome but must be on a 6 foot leash or in a cage and never unattended.
- Three designated handicap accessible campsites are found in the campground (campsites 20, 21, and 35).
- At least one person must occupy a campsite during the first night after camping equipment is set up. Camping equipment may not be left unattended for more than 24 hours.
- All guests with an extra vehicle must pay with exact change using the self-pay kiosk upon arrival.
- Boats with motors are allowed on Lynx Lake and are restricted to 10 HP or less.
- Campfires in developed fire pits only
- Discharging any weapon is prohibited at all times in the Lynx Lake Recreation Area
- Fireworks, including sparklers, are prohibited at all times on National Forest Lands.
- Fire restrictions may be imposed due to dry conditions, at which time smoking, wood and charcoal fires may be prohibited.
- OHV/ATV use prohibited in the campground
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
