The campsite is a double with ample space. It's our best stay thus far. I can't wait for the season to reopen!

Beautiful campground with lots of hiking trails accessible directly from site. Bathrooms were very clean. Unfortunately, noise/nuisance violations were not enforced, and we had the bad luck of having inconsiderate neighbors.

We decided to take a last minute β€œlong weekend” trip and we’re lucky enough to grab a site that had a recent cancellation. It was our first time to this campground but it won’t be our last. The site was level, had a nice fire pit, picnic table, had significant space between each site, and the trail was right behind the sites. The restrooms were very clean and within a short walk from the site. The views were great and the camp host was very friendly and accommodating. We were able to get wood from him on our first night and he even checked in with us to see if we needed more before his next trip into town. Site 009 was the only site with electric, but since we have a good solar setup, we will consider other sites as well. It was a nice, relaxing weekend away.

The compostible pit toilets were great. Very clean and no smell, no flys. There is a holder below that composts the waste. Never seen it before, but I hope it catches on in other campgrounds.

Campground was fine, but after 20 years experience with USFS CG hosts, this guy,Mark, is very poor HOST material. In my view, hosts at a minimum should make contact with guests, make them feel welcome, make sure they have a reservation, correct site, check in with guest now and then on their rounds. He did NONE of that. Optional could be pointing out the nearby trailhead, pond, and maybe bragging a little about the compost toilets. I think RRM can do much better.

The camp site was extremely overgrown. The campsite host was off duty at check-in time. We left after one night and have yet to receive a response for a refund of the remaining two nights.

  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
