*Beautiful grounds with large lush trees!
*A nice swimming hole and well maintained nature walk trail.
*Nice sized, level sites
*Clean showers with consistently hot water.
*Tranquil and peaceful.
I will definitely be back!

Too Many people, close to the road. We paid for two nights and left after once.

Nicely kept campground, with decent foliage between each site. Groves of wild raspberries. There is a trail off the F loop that overlooks the creek, but only if you are steady on your feet. We are tent campers. all sites had flat areas good for tents. most sites ok sites for smaller rvs, but not all of the 'driveways' were level. The showers looked great, but I didn't use them so I don't know about the water temp or pressure.

Although the campground was nice, there were an excess of screaming children during the week. Check in was a long process, even though I had payed online. The camp check in person forgot to give me back my credit card, and I was gone when I realized that. I decided to cancel my stay and lost two days of payed camping. Even though I notified the camp people they could rent it out, I did not get a refund. I tried to call rec.gov about a cancellation and they said it was a 5 min wait. After 15 minutes I gave up.

I really like Cave Spring. Very sheltered and quiet with great access to both flagstaff and sedona.
The amenities are primitive and that is fine but be aware certain sites near the toilets can smell them... constantly. That was the only downside as far as Im concerned. Lots to do at the grounds and very peaceful . The showers while primitive are certainly welcome.

We went for our first time in October. The grounds were well maintained and clean. Toilets smelled but that is normal with the type of toilets they are. Noise level is loud at night until 11 or even 12. WE also had a group that was up at 5 am each morning and loud as can be. D-11 we had a friendly skunk every night come out (well I guess there were 4 total based on other campers).
Great hikes near by.
Easy access to the site
Nice/Friendly staff
Overall Great experience and we will be returning to our friendly skunks.
