All the sites were very clean and the hosts helpful when though they were off duty. We caught a few bluegill and enjoyed being away from the city lights and noise.

It’s a beautiful, quiet, clean campsite and we can’t wait to go back. It is a little further out of the way than we realized when we booked the site and as it will tell you in the directions to the site, you have to take a couple forest roads to get there so be mindful that most cars are fine but it can be a rough ride out there. There’s a snack shack too on site that sells snacks/drinks and a few essentials like bug spray and chapstick and they also do kayak rentals. As I said, we can’t wait to return.

Nice clean campsites. Tent camping was fine. We rented a canoe at the lake and spent a peaceful time out there. I recommend an SUV or truck to get to site. Primitive roads.

Beautiful campground. No electric or water/sewer hookups. The road down to the campground is kinda rough with lots of wash boards. Campground roads and pads are paved. Nice concrete picnic tables and fire ring. The dump station was closed and apparently hadn't been working most of the summer. This of course necessitates dumping elsewhere and paying $20 +/- extra. Camping fees should be adjusted when some facilities are not available. Kinda frustrating. Don't like driving away with a hot load in my tanks.

Well maintained and immaculate campsites. Clean pit toilet buildings. Campsites are a bit close together, but not elbow-to-elbow. Appropriate level of interaction with the host. He made you feel welcome but was not intrusive. Shoreline access creates the ability to leave a kayak on the shore, which a much better than having to load and unload with each use. Was concerned that the boat rentals and food concession would create a more commercial feel, but that was not the case. This was however a mid-week stay..
