What Guests Are Saying
Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

14 day stay and have been visiting parks all over Arkansas through the summer.
Upon arrival there was a couple tending to the gate. After I informed them of my information, the lady with no welcoming conversation abruptly and rudely stated that on the day we were to leave that we must leave there is no staying later, that we people don't get to just stay as long as we want... basically scolding me for something I hadn't done.
We were in the A loop and we're disappointed at the amount of traffic (non paying or staying) came through all hours of the day and night. Made us feel as though we were being "cased". The Range did come through many times throughout the day and night.
Bathrooms ( & showers) on the A loop were not cleaned (with cleaner, disinfectant) walls had hard dried out shampoo conditioner among other nasties on them. The interior of the toilet bowls were turning that brownish color you get when it's not cleaned regularly. Floors had accumulated that scum layer. Of course the toilet paper and trash were tended to regularly, but pure laziness on the cleaning crew. The facility had a/c units but were not turned on in this year's (2023) heat wave.
Overall I will not be visiting this park again anytime soon, and would not recommend it to friends or family.

My favorite park! Always clean and quiet. I feel very secure at this park. Close to everything with great dining and shopping.

Camping at Toad Suck COE Park this past week was great, we could tell that the park personnel took pride in taking care of the grounds as the park was mowed and cleaned. The attendant lady that checked us in was super nice, friendly and pleasant. Will be returning soon for another stay for some fall camping. Been to other COE parks, and some could really take lessons from them. Thank you Toad Suck COE for a job well done.

This is a very nice place to stop. It is peaceful, clean and spots are a nice distance apart, and most are fairly level.

Really nice park. According to hosts COE parks are only allowed 14 mows per year in budget. So you might call before you camp to see where your trip fits in their schedule. We got lucky. They had just mown calf high grass a few days prior. Showers clean. Was hoping to watch lock work but maybe next trip. Good place for bicycles.
