What Guests Are Saying

Toad Suck Campground offers a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River, with clean facilities and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place for camping. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, good fishing opportunities, and the chance to watch boats navigate through the locks. However, concerns were raised about highway noise, traffic from non-campers, and limited bathroom facilities during peak times, which could affect the overall experience.

The weekend before Thanksgiving we were staying at Toad Suck when the temperature dropped to 22 degrees overnight. At about 2am the 30 amp breaker clicked off and could not be reset. We “limped” through the night on the 20 amp plug. At 9:00am, when the office opened, I reported the incident. The gentleman manning the office telephoned someone, who arrived at about 9:15am. That gentleman immediately began repairs, and we had 30 amp service by 9:30am. OUTSTANDING ! I cannot say enough good things about the Corp of Engineers ! Their RV Park and their service to the community is awesome. We are from out of state and were visiting our daughter, who is a graduate student at UCA. We truly enjoyed our stay here, and will stay again every time we visit Conway.

No electricity at just our camp site (A06). No one to fix it for two days. Ended up leaving and going back home Thanksgiving Day. Have no intention ever camping at Toad Suck Park again.

Park was excellent and clean. We were there for Thanksgiving weekend and unfortunately, it rained pretty much the whole time so wasn’t to able to get out much. I was in A14. Site was clean and very well laid out with new concrete sitting area. The site is somewhat hard to back into on that side due to a privacy fence close to the road. I have a 30’ bumper pull so wasn’t too bad for me. The guy next to me in A15 backed in a 40’ plus Paradigm with some difficulty but made it. Sites on the A side have a higher slope than it appears but not a problem. Really awesome views with the dam and barge lock. Will definitely be back!!!

Site C02. 50 amp and water. Level enough not to need boards. Asphalt pad with concrete path and pavilion pad. Covered picnic table. Site is next to the boat ramp but that wasn’t a bother. Camp hosts were friendly and helpful.
