The campground is the perfect spot backed up along the spillway/river. There are plenty of mature trees for shade in most spots.
Only thing that was a disappointment was that our site (E10) was next to the fish cleaning station. This wasn't an issue in at the end of Sept but I would assume there might be a smell in the summertime and the potential for a lot of flies.
We would def stay again just in a different site against the water.

Our campsites were clean and lovely. We loved the little island, clear waters, and hiking trails! The camp host was friendly and very helpful. We will definitely return!!

Really nice campground. Plenty of space for the camper and gear and to sit and relax and watch the water. Only thought is that the toilets near the hillside area(not the island) need to be updated.

The Corps campgrounds at Beaver Lake are the best. We are able to stay right next to the beach, which makes it quite fun. The Dam Site Campground is very convenient to Eureka Springs shops/restaurants and the White River as well. We appreciate the modern facilities on the island, just wish the water pressure was better. We had to go to the campground below the dam to be able to wash our hair. If you like kayaking, the White River is a gentle and beautiful 2-3 hour trip.

Absolutely gorgeous, secluded, calm, serene campground right on the lake. I mean ON the lake! You can wake up, walk a few feet feet & hop into the beautiful, clear water. Perfect.

From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West and travel nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left at Park entrance and continue to the site, located before the dam.
From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles. Turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles, crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.
