The sites were beautiful. Enjoyed having a cover over the table. All sites were extremely clean with nice showers. Bathrooms needed improvements

Great place to camp with water front sites. Only reason for not having full 5 stars is because the sites on the shore, not on the island, still have vault toilets. Would like to see those upgraded to the flush/shower house like the island. No complaints, lady at the check in was super nice, I was worried about them not letting us in because we got there an hour before check in, the reviews on google mentioned they were completely strict and campers only etc, but she was super friendly and even came around and checked on us after we finished setting up. Also it was super windy the entire time for us, not sure if we just caught bad weather or if this lake is big enough it’s just always windy. And most sites seem to be backwards in my opinion, they have them set up so your trailer door opens inland, vs facing the water. Seems like they should be the other way so you step out your camper towards the water. But just being picky here.

We made reservations for site in January but when we arrived a trailer was in our site. had to wait for an hour before they moved out. reservation system is great as long as camp host verifies people are in the correct sites.

From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West and travel nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left at Park entrance and continue to the site, located before the dam.
From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles. Turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles, crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.
