Site 7 should be tent camping only. I have an 18 foot camper and had way too many obstacles to back in comfortably. If my neighbors next to me were parked in their designated parking, it would have been impossible. No water to boot and the shower house in another part of the campground.

The Beaver Lake Dam Site campground was beautiful during the second week of October. The trees were turning colors and it turned out to be a very nice few days of weather. At first I was staying in #8 and was surprised that it didn't have a water hook up but if I had known there was a spicket only a short distance away that could have been used to fill the fresh water tank..just do before you park. #8 is also tricky to back into because of a steep uneven area as well. The next 2 nights I moved to #37 on the "island" and it turned out to be the perfect spot for me; it also had water. Really enjoyed my 3 nights there and plan to return at least yearly. Take a kayak as it would be easy to put in to the lake and paddle around; it was very clean and quiet as well! Eureka Springs is only a short distance away with many restaurants and activities.

On the website it showed a camp spot that was 41 feet long so I reserved it for 4 days and when I got there I found that it was impossible for me to get my 35 ft 5th wheel trailer into the camp spot. I cancelled that site and had to reserve 3 other sites so I had to move 3 times which was very unpleasant. I had trouble when I reserved the first site, which was site 16, and it took me three times before I could get four days so I only got one dollar refunded to me. I think I should get the total refunded to me because that site should not be open to reserve with a trailer my size. Site 16 should really be corrected to say that nothing longer than 15 ft should go in there and that would be difficult the way it is laid out. The gate attendant said that he has gotten a lot of complaints about that site.

Do not reserve sites 47 or 48 unless you have a small TT and/or tow vehicle. It was too tight for us and caused us to not be able to camp beside our family. The website had 30' max but changed to 20' when we made modifications.
