It started out rough as we was in site #2 with tents and we realized the only spot for tents was on the asphalt. The park attendant was very helpful in getting us moved to a different spot. The campground was beautiful we ended up having an amazing time. I would reccomend yall put something on the website letting people know that the only place for a tent on #2 is asphalt.

My family and I love this lake. We have been coming to this campsite for 28 years. I can’t believe it’s been that long. Time does fly by fast. The camp grounds now have flushable‘s bathrooms and showers. This is something the campsite didn’t have back in the day. We would leave the camp grounds to go shower down by the Dam store. I now bring my 3 grandkids to camp. They also love the lake. We went canoeing this year. Was the first time for all three grandkids. Their ages, girl 12 boy almost 12 and little man 7 years old. They had a awesome time canoeing. We camp this year in late July. Was late to get camp site. We took what we could get as far as the date goes. It was hot, we just swam more. We still had a great time. We will be back next year. Newman Family!!!

Another year, another great experience!
Campground well maintained, clean bathrooms (cleaned 3 times a day!), friendly Rangers, many tourist attractions close, reasonable rates. I had to leave before the end of my reservation. Before I got home, my refund had been processed and money refunded to my credit card!

The Corp re numbered the campsite say after reservations had been made fo summer. While I benefited my friends lost their space and had to spend the week below the dam. This was Corp mistake and the website still shows the old map and numbers

great spot to camp out while also being convenient to the local eureka springs activities. very clean and well maintained federal campsite, great experience to be on your own kid-friendly "private island".

From Eureka Springs, Arkansas, take Highway 62 West and travel nearly 4 miles. Turn left on Highway 187 and continue for about 6 miles. Turn left at Park entrance and continue to the site, located before the dam.
From Rogers, Arkansas, take Highway 62 East for nearly 24 miles. Turn right on Highway 187 and travel 3 miles, crossing the dam. The park entrance is the first right after the dam.

No dumping of household trash, gray water, rubbish, black water or any other waste material or waste liquid. All waste generated must deposed of at the dump station or removed from the project lands. Shower tents and bathroom tents, commonly referred to as changing tents, are not allowed. |
