What Guests Are Saying
John F. Kennedy campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and spacious campsites, making it a favorite destination for families and fishing enthusiasts. The hiking trails, particularly near Collins Creek, offer enjoyable experiences for all ages. While there are suggestions for improvements such as better internet service and more frequent trash pickup, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many campers expressing a desire to return.

Great location as far as river access and view. And close to the pier and boat ramp. Not close to restrooms, though, which is not preferable without sewer hookup. No grill, just a fire pit with grate. Love that Collins Creek hiking trail is right there at the campground. Unfortunately the dam opened during the day, while we were there, so we couldn’t wade out to fish.

Restrooms and facilities were clean on arrival. The campground was pretty busy but we were in loop D and it was very peaceful and did not have as much daily traffic. Lots to explore without leaving the campground.
