John F. Kennedy campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and spacious campsites, making it a favorite destination for families and fishing enthusiasts. The hiking trails, particularly near Collins Creek, offer enjoyable experiences for all ages. While there are suggestions for improvements such as better internet service and more frequent trash pickup, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many campers expressing a desire to return.

JFK campground was a great place to camp. The site was spacious and level. Very easy to access. We were in Loop D and the river access was directly behind us. The trail along the creek and up to the falls was easy to get to and was a beautiful walk during the fall. We visited the fish hatchery located in the park and was able to witness the release of trout into the Little Red River right there in the campground. Beautiful place to stay.

Sites had plenty of room. The river was spectacular and the fishing an added touch.
The only negative was that the bathrooms could use some updating.

Good park. Problem is trash people pick up trash before 6:00AM and don't empty every trash can. They can't even see inside trash can because it is still dark. People don't pick up after pets and they let pets run loose in the park.

The park attendant was very helpful. A wonderful park at the mouth of the lake. Wonderful to experience the trout fishing along the bank of the Red River!
