What Guests Are Saying
John F. Kennedy campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and spacious campsites, making it a favorite destination for families and fishing enthusiasts. The hiking trails, particularly near Collins Creek, offer enjoyable experiences for all ages. While there are suggestions for improvements such as better internet service and more frequent trash pickup, the overall sentiment is very positive, with many campers expressing a desire to return.

I just wish they would have shut down the dam during the day for at least one day during the week, and on the weekend to give those of us who trout fish a chance to wet a line! I booked months in advance and I had my heart set on fishing in the river. Many folks came from out of state and I know they were highly disappointed also.

We love camping on the Little Red River at JFK park, especially in the summer when it gets very hot. The cool breeze that comes of the water helps out. bunch, You are also close to the Dam site and you can go swimming there and you are also close to the town of Heber Springs, so if you need any supplies or just want to get something to eat, you are only a few minutes away.

Grounds were mowed while we were there. Saw both sheriff and rangers. Quiet as always.

We had a private path to the river. We took our chairs and enjoyed watching the beautiful water. The site was private and clean.

Riverfront site was great, but site was so trashy. Apparently park hosts don't check or clean sites.
