The friendly hosts and rangers enhance the welcoming atmosphere, and many guests appreciate the stunning lake views and private access. The site was well maintained and clean. We had a cub scout pack with about 60 people and had more than enough space for everyone and their cars. The hiking trails were beautiful and well marked. Definitely a great base of operations for a weekend adventure!

2 downsides are no sewer hookups on loop C (not sure about other loops), so it makes longer stays problematical, and the floors in the showers on cooler days tend to be VERY wet and slippery. But it's an absolutely wonderful campground, we've been going there for years and will continue to. Highly recommended. Unless you plan on going when we want to go and taking our space, in which case stay away :-)

We stated in A Loop. Its a quite loop with large sites with lake views and places to pull up your boat. The launching ramp is a very long walk. The showers are not in waking distance.

Absolutely beautiful view from the campsite. Bathrooms seemed clean but had a weird smell that was a combination of cleaner and cockroaches (though I never saw any bugs in there). Wonderful view of the stars at night, sunsets over the lake are stunning plus it's pretty cheap. 10 mins outside of town, 30 minutes outside of hot springs. I would definitely go again.
