the personal camping area was great but the showers and dumpsters for trash were "what felt like 1/4 mile away from camping - to far to walk and the the front gate to the campground was even a farther distance distance!!! - and unfortunately that is were the camp hosts are located - so NEVER saw or talked to them as they were hidden from the rest of the campground

The good: beautiful property, very remote but with nearby stores & gas. You really feel snuggled in the pine forest. All the campers seemed to be quiet & respectful. Maintenance crews visible every day keeping stuff in working order & trash emptied. Park rangers seen every day.
The bad:
-very narrow/tight RV spaces, unable to extend our awning, or back the camper in fully due to trees blocking slide-out.
-Shower facilities have one dim lightbulb over the handicap stall, and one tiny shared bench for 3 stalls in clear view of the opened door - no shelves, hooks or bench in the stalls for your towels, soaps or gear. Stall walls and doors are colored black, making it even dingier & darker...why? Lots of spiders in the shower facilities. If I wanted to design a shower facility to discourage use, this would be my blueprint.

Parkway. Turn right and follow access road one mile north to park.
From Mount Ida, Arkansas, take US 270 east approximately 9.5 miles to Ouachita
Shores Parkway. Turn left on access road one mile to park.
Denby Point is accessible via US 270, which runs approximately 26.5 miles west from Hot Springs and about 9.5 miles east from Mount Ida. The campground is located at the intersection with Ouachita Shores Parkway.

General
- No off-road vehicles allowed in park
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Camper Self-Check In Cards are located at the entrance of the campground. Please grab a card apon entry, fill it out and attach it to your campsite post. A ranger will verify the information written on the card later and check you in.
