We got spot #27 and it was the most breathtaking, beautiful and perfect spot we could of ever asked for. The water was crystal clear, super clean campsite and bathrooms and it was just so peaceful and relaxing. The pictures of the campsite online doesn't do it justice at all. Joplin campground is hands down beautiful and I plan to make several more trips to this place!

Awesome site right above the water that is a direct view of the sunset. 30 second walk in, which isn’t too bad but when you’re carrying camp supplies can be a little annoying. Only true complaint is that the anglers NEED to get to the next spot ASAP and rip past every 20 minutes during the day. Night is peaceful however and overall it is a charming site.

Beautiful spot but wouldn’t recommend for someone with small children or animals who don’t listen, the campsite is right on the edge of a drop of area that could be unsafe for some families.

Per the description, this spot (51 D) is not 100% level. It is absolutely good enough for tent camping. The bathrooms are always clean and are right across the road. The cell service is good. The sunrises are spectacular from this camping spot, and I really enjoyed that. I have camped at Joplin campground for years and it is always a good experience. A few of the fellow campers can get a bit noisy around dinner time, but they are just enjoying their company and good food. The noise settles down soon after dinner and I consider that a no harm no foul. Overall, again, it's a beautiful place and I look forward to returning.

Joplin is a park with mixed with both old and newer sites. I wish they could remove some trees by the dump station. It is very tight to turn around after dumping.
