We had a great time camping in Tompkins Bend campground. Large trees all around, the fall colors were starting to change, the lake was low but still clear and beautiful, nice trails to walk or ride your bikes. Quite, peaceful and close to Hot Springs. We will definitely be coming back.

The park was not as nice a stay as it usually is. The 50 amp to our site was broken so we had to go back home and wait a day and a half for an electrician because we had to contact the website to let them know instead of just notifying the host. Generally we have park hosts, but there were none this time and they are definitely needed. Please bring them back!!. There were a lot of barking dogs that barked continuously which made the trip annoying. It seems that people are taking advantage and being louder than normal with no authority in the park. Also, we had a difficult time getting reservations because it showed the park was full but our entire stay, half the park was empty. Not such a happy camper this time.

We spent two great nights at end of our two week road trip before heading home. The camp site was wonderful and had a great view being on the lake. We enjoyed long walks along the shore line with the dog and will be returning with the kayaks next time.

Great find in the Ozarks. Quiet (except for boats in the morning) and beautiful.

Only ding on this camping experience was of the extremely poor cell phone signal. Not the campground’s fault but just a heads up if one needs a good TMoble signal. Otherwise, an older campground that was VERY nice. In the woods by the lake. Very relaxing and our kind of place to spend some time.

It was a beautiful campsite with a great playground and mountain bike/hiking trails. The trash was picked up on a consistent basis. My only complaint was the spiders in the shower area. I know creepy crawlies love humidity but I could do without! Our family will definitely be back!
