Have camped in this spot numerous times over the years. Love this spot. Close to bath house and boat ramp. MIght treat for ticks as they are numerous due to the abundant deer population.

I have to move out of the park on the 29th of April and come back to Tompkins Bend on the 1st of May even though the rec.gov website allowed me to reserve from 3/28 til May 10 with no interruption. The rangers at Tompkins bend are making us move out, but allowing us to come back to the same spot anyway. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense

It would help so much if dirt or gravel could be used to even up the ground between the pads and the ground. My husband has a handicap and this ragged, stump ridden area is very challenging for him. I am talking about sites 58 thru 61.

Tompkins Bend is beautiful! The volunteer camp host was very nice. Spot 09A was very tight with trees right along the parking space but I managed backing in finally. It had a great view. The restrooms were clean. I’d love to visit again.

Very clean park and restrooms. Paved campsites with cement picnic tables, BBQ grills with close by table for cookware. Beautiful views of the lake. Easy check in, just go to your site and camp host will come by later to your site.
