What Guests Are Saying
River Road offers a peaceful camping experience with friendly and attentive hosts, clean facilities, and beautiful scenery by the river and dam. While the site has limited space for large tents and some minor issues like sawdust from tree removal and limited shower availability, overall, guests appreciated the well-maintained grounds and enjoyed their time in nature. The lack of cell service may be a drawback for some, but many found it refreshing and conducive to relaxation.

The campground is slightly dated but what a fantastic time. It is not a large campground so it was very quiet and relaxing. The description says that there is water hook up, and there is, but unless you're in certain spots, it is not convenient. All sites seemed to be shaded which is nice and the shower house is descent and had hot water.
The camp hosts were very nice and welcoming. One other important note is that they do not sell firewood at the campground. We did find it though about four miles away at Andy's Bait and Tackle, and that was the only place we could find. We will definitely return to this spot.

I loved it. It's a nice quiet, clean spot. It has electricity. The bathrooms are primitive so be warned. The gate attendants are amazing and the nicest people. It was a great camping trip. The only thing that wasn't great was the bathroom but it's to be expected. There's a clean one with plumbing just up the trail by the dam.

Great place to stay but be prepared to have plenty of water hose for water hook ups. Water hook ups are shared with two sites and a standard water hose will not be enough to run from your trailer to the hookup. We had to drive about 20 miles to get extra hoses so as to have water. It took two 40 foot hoses to have water at our motor home.
