What Guests Are Saying
River Road offers a peaceful camping experience with friendly and attentive hosts, clean facilities, and beautiful scenery by the river and dam. While the site has limited space for large tents and some minor issues like sawdust from tree removal and limited shower availability, overall, guests appreciated the well-maintained grounds and enjoyed their time in nature. The lack of cell service may be a drawback for some, but many found it refreshing and conducive to relaxation.

Serene and peaceful! Hosts were awesome, I ended up staying 5 days and spent time visiting nearby towns. Highly recommended!

This is one of our favorite places to go. It is typically very peaceful and relaxing to hang out there. We enjoy walking around the park though we do wish there were trails or something across the river to hike on. Bonnie & Mike the park hosts are always friendly and helpful with information.

Website indicated site was long enough for my rig, but couldn’t maneuver into the site.

Unlike the two other Recreation areas we stayed at in Arkansas the overall, maintenance around River Road was slack. I had reserved three sites for our group of three RVs, fortunately for me my RV had onboard water, but the other two RV's in our party needed a water connection. After checking with the park attendants one RV moved to another site across the road from us and their original site to be able to reach water. They were charged an additional fee even though we had already paid for three sites. I found that disturbing because the campground had plenty of sites available and it was late afternoon when we arrived. For the third RV in our group we had to string three hoses together and cross a roadway to get water.
