This park is very natural, many trees, deer, birds, etc. A lovely place to set up camp for awhile. Sites are mostly spacious with well thought out placements in regards to other campers. Some have water,.. none have dump facilities at sites but there is a dump station when leaving the campgrounds. Many waterfront properties where you can pull your boat up to and most sites have some trees for shade...not all, but most. Will be back here again, for sure!

Horseshoe Bend campground is very well taken care of. We were in site #31 and it was a very good view of the lake. I wish it had a water hookup.

Campsite 158 is right on the lake and is gorgeous!!!! Now for the negatives….
-There was not a fire pit at this location as advertised so we didn’t end up getting to use the wood we purchased.
-There was a homeless man sleeping on the picnic table 2 sites down from us, which was depressing and made everyone uncomfortable. The cops and park ranger spent several hours addressing the situation.
-There was only ONE bathroom stall in the women’s restroom, and the restroom was honestly disgusting. We ended up leaving after 1 night because the facilities were so nasty and there was always a line.
-There is no camp store for you to purchase any essentials you may have forgotten.
I wish I could have given a higher rating because the view was truly spectacular, but for me there is a lot more to camping than just a nice view.
