The campground host and manager were extremely helpful and I even had an issue with my RV that they helped me with.

Very nice campground. Hosts take excellent care of campground. Clean bathrooms. My campsite had been raked before arrival which added an extra level of feeling well maintained! Beautiful location and a decent amount of privacy between sites. Overall really enjoyed my stay and felt safe as a woman camping alone. Thank you

Convict Lake itself is a true gem! A small, clear lake surrounded by layers of mountains. There is a great trail that goes around the lake, for a safe and pretty hike. The trail is well used, but not overrun with people. We did not eat at the local restaurant but continually heard raves about it.
Our campsite was incredibly clean! It had a new picnic table, not a piece of trash in sight. When a site was vacated, the camp host (ranger?) was there within minutes, preparing it for the next user. The roads within the park were smooth, but some campsites had cracked and uneven asphalt pads, so sites should be carefully researched.

We started our week long park hop with Convict Lake, less than an hour outside of Yosemite's beautiful Tioga Pass entrance. The location was perfect and the views were amazing. We met many locals who visit to fish, daily. The water was crystal clear and the leaves were just yellowing. Thr hike around the lake is fairly easy and worth the work. We watched a beautiful sunset and sunrise reflect on the mountain. We spotted a herd of mule deer on the ridge at sunrise. Perfect way to start the day. The bathrooms were very clean and the host was friendly and helpful. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the boat rentals, but hope to return in the future. It is a must do if you're traveling up 395. Don't miss the cute town of Lee Vining. Mammoth Lakes ski area is less than 15 minutes away.
