This is a terrific campground. Clean and well cared for. The store is close by if you forgot anything. Campground hosts are cruising the campground all day so if you need something you can find someone to help easily.
The lake is beautiful, not to big, not to small with enough fish biting to make fishing exciting.
We will definitely be back.

I’ve been going to convict lake for over 20yrs. This has always been one of the top trout lakes in the Sierra. Now I would have to say not so much! The campground was clean. The bathrooms where a mess! Dirty with trash, old clothes and god knows what else on the floor. Empty beer cans all in the brush around our campsite. Loud campers past quite time playing music and drinking around their fire. There was people snorkeling in the lake and kids jumping off their rented pontoon boat into the lake. Just a lot of stuff that has never happened at convict lake. Lack of employees working for the lake for the amount of people visiting the lake might be part of it. But if this is the way things are going to be run in the campground and at the lake. I will not be back to waste my money! And that is sad! My favorite place is now so commercialized that it seems it’s all about the money for who is running both! Sad sad sad! Hope someone reads this that cares about it! If not my suggestion would be to avoid the place if you are looking to relax and catch some fish!

Our second visit to Convict was as good as the first. Plenty to do with all of the convenience of Mammoth close by. We’ll be back.

This is a gorgeous campground! Views of the mountains are amazing and the lake is incredible. Trout fishing from the shore is fun but your chances of catching "the big one" are better from a boat which can be rented at the lake. Deer wander through the campground on occasion and, though wild, they are very used to being around people.
Showers are not available in the campground but the resort (which also has restaurant, lounge, and store) offers public shower for a fee.
We try to get up there at least once each year!!

Lake is stocked with plenty of trout. Clean, quiet, campground with friendly and helpful personnel. Small Store right outside that has just about anything you’ve forgotten. Love this place, will be returning for sure. I recommend it to
Friends all the time.

Beautiful location. Only issue is that due to the width of the road it was not easy to back a 33 ft trailer into the spot.

Campground was clean, convenient, and has a great view. Being close to the Convict Lake Resort and their store/restaurant was a plus since we were traveling with kids. The Lake and mountains are spectacular!
