What Guests Are Saying
Dogwood Campground is consistently praised for its cleanliness, beautiful natural surroundings, and well-maintained facilities, including flush toilets and hot showers. Campers appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the serene and private atmosphere provided by spacious campsites nestled among trees. While some visitors noted minor inconveniences, such as the price increase for firewood and challenges with tent placement, the overall experience remains highly rated, making it a popular choice for families and repeat visitors.

I don’t know how this location could even be used as a campsite. It says it’s a steep campsite but from previous campsites we’ve been through with that description we thought we could manage….Definitely wrong! do not stay at this campsite. It was an extremely unpleasant stay with so many safety issues. Only upside is that it was close to the restrooms.

Dogwood is the perfect campground with trails for bike rides and hikes. The trees are plentiful offering shade and beauty, The campsites are roomy and clean. Bathrooms are close by.
We had a wonderful time and were able to invite some friends over for the evening to share in a birthday celebration.

Campground was excellent. Lots of shade, beautiful pines, fresh mountain air. The campground has great amenities: free hot showers (many campgrounds charge), bathrooms, large campsites, wood sold onsite, etc. It’s also within a short drive to lake Gregory and lake arrowhead. We had a great time!

Most amazing showers I have ever seen at a campsite - free, hot water, clean, plenty of room! My kids didn't mind taking a shower in those. Also the bathrooms were nice, cleaned daily. Camp hosts were good at managing a loud group at 10pm, we never saw them otherwise. Apparently a bear goes through every night but we never saw evidence at our site (we did use the bear box).
The RV sites don't have a lot of privacy, but our tent site did, with dense pine trees all around.
Yellow jackets are a huge problem. Not the fault of the campsite, but they were everywhere all day. Eating under our screen tent made a huge difference, but even with that a few would find a way to sneak in. Smokey campfires help :)
