Nice shade with easy to park and unload at the campsite. Host was welcoming and great with the kids. Water is from a nearby spring-clean and delicious. Be ready for the gravel road up. Don’t need all wheel drive in the summer.

I find it absolutely horrible that a public camping area isn’t open year round or at least thru the end of Any hunting season. The fact that ther isn’t a camp host to collect the very few dollars from the very few off season users should not matter. It’s a national forest only for summertime users? Feel free to contact me.
