Great location with two main problems; they didn't place the reservation card in advance and when we got there at 9 PM, our spot was taken which we had to wait one hour for the guy to vacate. Secondly, they run out of the toilet paper the entire next day.

Great time. Due to weather there was no wood burning fires which was a downer but understandable.
Toilet paper could have been restocked a little earlier in the morning!

Camp Three was fun! The Camp host said he was new but he did a great job! I had reserved 3 spots and someone had set up their tent in one of them. The host was nice, and quickly resolved the issue. The restrooms never smelled bad and they were always stocked with toilet paper. I will definitely come back next year!

Love this campground for a calmer part of the river to float and hang with our dogs each summer. Hosts are always friendly and dumpsters, drop toilets and potable water make for a more comfortable camping experience. Only downside was no campfires this year (2022) due to dry conditions.

I am 70 years old. I have been camping at Camp3 since I was 1year old. This year the camps were trashyer than I have ever seen in my life. Alot of tree triming had been done and there was a lot of dead branches and twigs left all over the camps. I don't enjoy picking up previous campers bottle tops, plastic and metal, and cigarette butts. It is a shame people are so irresponsible. I think the cost of $30 a day is also excessive for what we get. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy tent camping and roughing it, but the cost is outrageous.

Great campground right in Kern River. We come every year and love it. Camp host this year was way better than last year. Facilities were clean, and it was a great time.

Great location for camping and rafting. Only downside was bathrooms were not as well maintained as in prior years.

There is an extra vehicle fee of $8.00/night on the 2nd vehicle in each single campsite and on the 3rd & 4th vehicle in any double campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the 1st vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the 1st and 2nd are considered to be one vehicle and the 3rd and 4th are also considered to be one vehicle. So the fee would be a single $8.00/night of stay for the 3rd/4th motorcycle. |
