What Guests Are Saying
Fairview Campground offers a stunning location with spacious and clean campsites, many right next to the river, perfect for family activities like fishing and tubing. The camp amenities, including clean bathrooms and friendly hosts, enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors reported issues with wasps and minor inconveniences with campground management, but these did not significantly detract from the enjoyment for most guests.

What a great location! We were right by the river, and I wish we had stayed longer. We will definitely be returning :)

Beautiful RUSHING river right at this site. Not for playing in, but it is stunning. The Trail of 100 Giants is not too far from here and was an incredible display of sequoias!

Got an RV site but was able to tent camp at the site and plenty of vehicle parking.

Fairview is my favorite campground near the Kern River. Elevation is higher so it's not as hot as it would be down by Kernville. The campground is right next to Johnny McNally's Lodge, that has the best restaurant, burger stand and little store. A few miles up the road is the 100 Giants Trail (sequoia trees), Dome Rock, Peppermint Falls, Rock slides and diving rocks. The past couple years the river has been low enough to play and tube right out of your campsite at Fairview.

The camp host was friendly and kept the facilities clean. Many of the picnic tables were in need of repair or replacement. The number of RV guests constantly running their generators was annoying.

If you like a beautiful river and nature you are good. Bring your own shade as tree sites are very limited. Amber the site hosted is very approachable and accommodating. It was a + experience. Will be coming back.
