What Guests Are Saying
Fairview Campground offers a stunning location with spacious and clean campsites, many right next to the river, perfect for family activities like fishing and tubing. The camp amenities, including clean bathrooms and friendly hosts, enhance the overall experience. However, some visitors reported issues with wasps and minor inconveniences with campground management, but these did not significantly detract from the enjoyment for most guests.

Awesome camping spot especially in the hot summer. The river is just minutes away and so much fun stuff to do. Bathrooms are porta potty style and there are no showers or electricity. No service but you can walk down to the red barn convenience store and connect back up. I do wish people were more considerate to others and the environment and clean up after themselves. We found some trash on our campground and floating in the river. Other than that Fairview is definitely going to be our new camping spot for our annual family camping trip.

Nice little campground along the Kern. some of the door handles in the restrooms need to be fixed. I almost got stuck in one which i guess would have made for a funny story. Many of the campsites don't have much shade so bring a canopy tent if you wind up with a campsite with no or little shade. Being next to McNally's was convenient too.

Amazing campground right next to the river! Hot during the day over the summer but the river is a perfect place to hang out and cool down

The campsite was very noisy, with screaming and partying until 12am. Difficult with young children. Very surprised the host did not ask them to be quiet. We didn't ever see the host, not even to be check in. Other than that the campsite was great.

Fairview is a solid campground and it's proximity and access to Kern River is wonderful. If you get a site along the water it can be magical and have the opportunity to let the rushing water lull you to sleep at night. My biggest gripe about this campground is its overall maintenance. We've only visited twice, but each time there was a considerable amount of trash/litter at the campsites, several dumpsters overflowing with garbage (which gets really smelly on hot summer days), and pit-toilets that didn't seem like they were emptied in a very long time (which also gets really smelly). I understand that this may be a staffing and resource issue but it does affect the quality of stay at the campground. This campground can be really exceptional if there were resources to properly care for it.

We go to Fairview at least once a year and love it! Some other campers do not know how to follow direction though and this year in the campsite next to us they burned a huge fire several times ignoring the fire restrictions.

The groundskeeper is wonderful and this sight offers a cute little store and burger place with kind employees. Oir family loves this Campground
