What Guests Are Saying
Deer Creek Campground offers a beautiful setting with clean facilities, friendly camp hosts, and great access to the lake, making it a popular choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained campsites and ease of reserving spots online. However, some concerns were raised about limited restroom availability, occasional cleanliness issues, and the need for more campground options, particularly during busy seasons. Overall, it remains a cherished destination for many campers.

Better internet connection would be nice.

Beautiful campground but has no showers and no place to fill your RV water tank. Also no RV dump station for many miles. Bathrooms were clean but one of the four of them has been closed all summer for repairs.

We have gone to this campground for over 50 years. I would especially like to complement the campground hosts this year -- Carmen and family for being great hosts and just delightful people. KIds were a joy to watch as well!

Nice place to camp near Huntington lake. Plenty of activities for all ages. We’ve been camping here for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful and camp host Carmen keeps the place nice and tidy.

We loved staying at this camp! Family-oriented, quiet/calm, perfect to decompress and have a great experience up in the mountains. Most sites will have a lake view, which is a plus.

Camp hostess Carmen has transformed Deer Creek into the cleanest, most welcoming campground that we have ever stayed at! She and Ernie are very efficient and take pride in their work, keeping the bathrooms sanitized and clean, they were always available to answer questions, check us in and have our sites spotless and ready to be occupied. The only issue that we had at campsite #3 and #1 which have the older bear boxes that are quite restrictive in size of coolers compared to the new ones at Rancheria and College. Hopefully they will be upgraded to accommodate the larger size coolers.

I loved this campground. It is extremely close to the water and there was a good swimming area right next to the campground. I love fishing in Huntington lake and I am almost always successful. My only complaints were that it was hard to get into the site with my Chevy Silverado and our tent pad was not completely even.

The campground is good and has great views, however the campsites are tight and too close to each other to the point that you sit by campfire and starting at your neighbors. Lots of RVs.

Best vacation ever. Site was private. We could see our kayaks on beach from the picnic table. Just a perfect time sailing and kayaking.
